Adam Taylor, Catawba Sustainability Center Manager

I am excited to announce the appointment of Adam Taylor as our new manager of the Virginia Tech Catawba Sustainability Center.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Emory and Henry College and a master’s in Agriculture from Oklahoma State and previously served as the Project Coordinator for the West Virginia Farmers Market Association in Charleston, West VA.  Adam grew up in Tazewell, VA and has been living in Fayetteville, WV for the past few years.

 Adam’s background also includes a two-year assignment with the Peace Corps serving in Zambia where he organized workshops and field days related to sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, beekeeping, organic vegetable growing, and tree planting. He is an avid hiker who has completed a thru-hike of 2,178 miles of the Appalachian Trai
