Roanoke S.T.E.A.M. Day on Friday, October 6th from 9:30 am—5 p.m. in downtown Roanoke. Area schools are invited to visit downtown Roanoke for a free celebration of S.T.E.A.M. in conjunction with the VT Science Festival. The event was known the science festival school preview day in years past,
Students will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive and fun day that includes exhibitors , experts and emerging technologies. In past years we have had NASA, the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, the Mobile STEM lab and other fun and informative activates to excite students about the possibilities in S.T.E.M. that await them.
Roanoke S.T.E.A.M. day is hosted by the locations that include the Science Museum of Western Virginia, Taubman Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Transportation, Jefferson Center, VTCRI, and Jefferson College of Health Sciences. Each location will have activities targeted to specific age groups. There will be something there for students at every step of their academic careers.
