About the Program

Living a purpose-filled life can feel challenging. With so many demands on your time and attention, you have little or no time to think about a purpose-filled life, much less live it! You might believe that if you were just more dedicated, more disciplined, or had more willpower you could achieve it. Or perhaps you believe that circumstances or other people are holding you back from making that dream possible. The reality is that every day we all self-sabotage and get in our own way. There is a better option!

The Positive Intelligence ®  program equips you with tools to help you build habits and develop your mental fitness. This empowers you to break the cycle of self-destructive and approach challenges and growth with a more resilient and positive mindset. Join us as we explore the ways we self-sabotage and how we can take steps that move us toward a more purposeful life.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please contact Sally McQuinn at 540-767-6100 or smcquinn@vt.edu during regular business hours at least 10 business days before event.

About Steph

Hello, my name is Steph Altom. My passion lies in empowering others to enhance their leadership abilities, starting with self-leadership. I firmly believe that each of us is uniquely designed with a specific purpose. We have raw materials – characteristics, abilities, and talents – that we can use to serve that purpose. Our life experiences work together to refine and shape us into the people we were created to be. Embracing our uniqueness is crucial – only I can be me and only you can be you!

Through my journey, I have discovered that my purpose is to build people up by providing them with the tools and encouragement needed to help them discover their strengths, grow in their ability to lead themselves and others, and live an intentional, engaged life. It brings me great joy to see people thrive! Visit Steph's website at www.sjacoaching.com.
